Hoshizaki Cube Ice Maker IM-45PE-F – Self-Contained, Air-cooled, 47 kg/24h, L Cube

Up to 47 kg of cubes every 24 hours, with a 18 kg bin built into the cabinet: that is the short version of the Hoshizaki IM-45PE-F. Spread over a day, it is about 2 kg per hour. An empty 18 kg bin fills in roughly 9.2 hours at that rate.

As the FlexiCUBE version of the IM-45PE, this machine comes with a built-in drain pump. Drain position stops being a problem: the IM-45PE-F pumps its waste water up to 1.5 m high and 10 m away. You get L cubes, 28 x 28 x 32 mm, at 47 kg a day, the standard size with no suffix. If the version does not suit, the same body is sold as IM-45PE (Basic Cube), IM-45PE-U (UltraCUBE) and IM-45PE-E (EliteCUBE). Other cube sizes: IM-45PE-F-25 (S cube, 43 kg a day). Power, water and size

It measures 503 x 456 x 840 mm (W x D x H) before legs (add 90-125 mm) and weighs 45 kg empty. It draws 0.255 kW from a single-phase 220-240 V 50 Hz supply, within ±6%, on a 5 A breaker. At 32 °C room temperature it releases 0.71 kW of heat. Daily water use is 110 liters, or roughly 2.3 liters for every kilo of ice. Inside the IM-45PE-F is a 70 g R290 charge, and R290 is propane rated A3 for flammability. Hoshizaki lists automated cleaning and internal drain pump for the IM-45PE-F.

Where the IM-45PE-F fits

Operating limits for the IM-45PE-F are 1 to 40 °C ambient, 5 to 35 °C water and 0.7 to 8 bar, so check the space and the fresh water line against those. Air-cooled, it puts its 0.71 kW of heat straight into the room, so a closed pantry needs some ventilation. The matching water filter for 47 kg a day is the 4HC-H single system.
