Hoshizaki Cube Ice Maker IM-65PE-E-25 – Self-Contained, Air-cooled, 56 kg/24h, S Cube

Up to 56 kg of cubes every 24 hours, with a 26 kg bin built into the cabinet: that is the short version of the Hoshizaki IM-65PE-E-25. Averaged out, the machine turns out about 2.3 kg an hour. From empty, its 26 kg bin takes about 11 hours to fill.

Versions and cube size

This 56 kg/day machine is the EliteCUBE build, so it has both the drain pump and UV-C sanitization. With the pump, the drain for the IM-65PE-E-25 can be 10 m away and 1.5 m higher, so you place the machine where the 633 mm cabinet fits best. Between scheduled cleanings, UV-C light treats the tank water inside the IM-65PE-E-25. The IM-65PE-E-25 makes the S cube, 25 x 25 x 23 mm, marked by the -25 in the code. Other versions of this model: IM-65PE-25 (Basic Cube), IM-65PE-U-25 (UltraCUBE) and IM-65PE-F-25 (FlexiCUBE). Other cube sizes: IM-65PE-E (L cube, 58 kg a day). Specs worth checking

It measures 633 x 509 x 840 mm (W x D x H) before legs (add 90-125 mm) and weighs 49 kg empty. Power draw is 0.305 kW on single-phase 220-240 V 50 Hz, within ±6%, on a 5 A breaker. At 32 °C room temperature it releases 0.83 kW of heat. Daily water use is 220 liters, or roughly 3.9 liters for every kilo of ice. Its refrigerant is R290 (propane, class A3), 110 g of it, which matters when you decide where the IM-65PE-E-25 goes. Functions on the IM-65PE-E-25 include automated cleaning, UV-C sanitization and internal drain pump.

Operating limits for the IM-65PE-E-25 are 1 to 40 °C ambient, 5 to 35 °C water and 0.7 to 8 bar, so check the space and the fresh water line against those. Air-cooled, it puts its 0.83 kW of heat straight into the room, so a closed pantry needs some ventilation. The matching water filter for 56 kg a day is the 4HC-H single system.
