Hoshizaki Cube Ice Maker IM-65WPE-25 – Self-Contained, Water-cooled, 54 kg/24h, S Cube

With 54 kg of cubes a day and a 26 kg storage bin, the IM-65WPE-25 is a self-contained water-cooled cube machine for bars, pantries and small galleys. Spread over a day, it is about 2.2 kg per hour. From empty, its 26 kg bin takes about 12 hours to fill.

Choosing the version

The version suffix tells you what is inside: the IM-65WPE-25 is the Basic Cube and comes with no drain pump and no UV-C unit. The IM-65WPE-25 makes the S cube, 25 x 25 x 23 mm, marked by the -25 in the code. Other versions of this model: IM-65WPE-U-25 (UltraCUBE), IM-65WPE-F-25 (FlexiCUBE) and IM-65WPE-E-25 (EliteCUBE). With a different cube it is the IM-65WPE (L cube, 62 kg a day). There is also a air-cooled version, the IM-65PE-25, rated at 56 kg a day, using 220 liters of water a day against 430 liters here and putting 0.83 kW of heat into the room instead of 0.43 kW.

Footprint is 633 x 506 mm with a height of 840 mm before legs (add 90-125 mm); net weight is 48 kg. It draws 0.275 kW from a single-phase 220-240 V 50 Hz supply, within ±6%, on a 5 A breaker. At 32 °C room temperature it releases 0.43 kW of heat. It uses about 430 liters of water a day, or roughly 8 liters for every kilo of ice. The IM-65WPE-25 runs on 110 g of R290, which is propane (safety class A3), so the charge belongs on the installation paperwork. Functions on the IM-65WPE-25 include automated cleaning.

Where the IM-65WPE-25 fits

Operating limits for the IM-65WPE-25 are 1 to 40 °C ambient, 5 to 35 °C water and 0.7 to 8 bar, so check the space and the fresh water line against those. The water-cooled condenser suits tight, badly ventilated spaces, but the IM-65WPE-25 needs a steady supply of cooling water, around 430 liters a day in total.
