Coldline Freezer Master 500 A50/1B – 1 door, -18/-22 °C, Plug-in, 417 l

The Coldline A50/1B is a single-door freezer from the Master 500 range, holding -18/-22 °C in a cabinet of 417 litres gross and 290 litres net. In the code A50/1B, A50 is the 500 body, /1 the number of doors and B the -18/-22 °C range. The plug-in A50/1B carries its own condensing unit, charged with 90 g of R290, GWP 3. The A50/1B is one of the Master codes for which Coldline lists a Master Marine solutions variant.

Inside the cabinet

Coldline ships the A50/1B with 3 slides for 42x53 cm shelves, 3 plastic coated 42x53 cm shelves, lock with key, LED lighting. The A50/1B has a self-closing door with a 105° stop, hinged on the right. The 290 litre chamber is AISI 304 stainless steel with rounded corners inside a single body insulated with 75 mm of CFC/HCFC-free material; the back, base and technical compartment are galvanized/colaminated steel. Its magnetic triple-chamber gasket can be replaced, the handle is 2 mm AISI 304, and the AISI 304 feet adjust between 100 and 150 mm under the 2,085 mm high cabinet. An electronic controller with a flush display sets the -18/-22 °C range.

Refrigeration data

The A50/1B has a rated cooling capacity of 453 W (evaporating at -30 °C, condensing at +55 °C). On 220-240 V 50 Hz it draws 810 W at 3.7 A, with hot gas defrost. Its energy label is class C, with an energy efficiency index of 44.6, 1,310 kWh a year and 3.589 kWh in 24 hours at climate class 5.

Compared with other Master codes

Its remote counterpart, the A50/1BR, moves the condensing unit out of the galley and its heat with it; it runs on R452a, is listed at 220-240 V 50-60 Hz and weighs 100 kg net against 120 kg. The glass-door A50/1BV shows the stock without opening the door but uses 2,460 kWh a year against 1,310 kWh for the A50/1B. In the same configuration, the smaller A30/1B holds 334 litres gross in 535 mm width and the larger A60/1B holds 512 litres gross in 740 mm, against 417 litres in 630 mm for the A50/1B.

Marine version

Coldline describes its Master Marine section as made for installation on ships and on oil and floating platforms, combining Master refrigeration with the safety specifications of the marine industry. The figures on this page are those Coldline publishes for the standard A50/1B; there is no separate marine data sheet, so the marine construction is confirmed with Coldline when we quote. At 220-240 V 50 Hz as published, the A50/1B can also be ordered with a 60 Hz supply or another special voltage, both listed as variants. Accessories for the A50/1B include 150 mm stainless steel drawers, bottle shelves, castors, an RS485 serial interface and Cosmo cable or Wi-Fi kits.

Getting it on board

External dimensions of the A50/1B are 630 × 715 × 2,085 mm (W × D × H) and net weight is 120 kg. In its packing it grows to 835 × 830 × 2,145 mm and 140 kg, which is what has to pass the doors and hatches on the route aboard.
